A little about me

I have been working with children and young people for the past 16 years, in nurseries, schools and counselling centres, as well as privately supporting families and children struggling in their home environment. I have experience working with children with additional educational needs, children on the autistic spectrum and those with physical disabilities. I was recently awarded "Best Children's Mental Health Therapist " by Global Health and Pharmacology.

I have worked and trained with leading organisations; the NSPCC, Childline, One to One Befrienders and Young Carers. I am an experienced school counsellor and have worked for a number of years in a primary school, supporting children between the ages of 4-11 and at times, assisting those in severe emotional distress. In my own private practice I have extensive experience working with children and adolescents between the ages of 3 and 17 years.

I hold a graduate degree in Psychology, Level 3 in Counselling Skills and a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling Children. I trained with Place2Be, the UK's leading mental health organisation for children and adolescents. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy; thus meaning I have met their standands of proficiency for private work and I practise within their ethical framework. I have professional indemnity insurance in place.

I am also a certified sleep consultant and provide behaviour support and sleep programmes to families.
