School Counselling Programmes

I also work in primary schools offering therapeutic services to children across London. I can provide between 6-8 one-to-one counselling sessions for pupils during an average school day. For schools wanting a more holistic approach, I can reduce the number of one-to-one sessions and additionally provide a 'time to talk' drop-in hour accessible to all pupils, as well as group workshops. These involve group discussions, exercises and games, allowing pupils to talk about feelings and emotions, helping them to understand the signs when they don't feel ok and behavioural techniques to manage low moods.

I also run simplified versions of these programmes in a fun, interactive workshop called "Mini Minds" for children in early years settings, focusing on the importance of positive mental health from a young age.

All programmes/sessions can be adapted and tailor made to suit the bespoke needs of your school. Services are usually one day per week, however for smaller schools I can offer a weekly half-day service, where I can run three one-to-one sessions.

With mental health issues on the rise, it is hugely important for children to be able to access these support services and no better place for this than their school environment. I provide all resources and equipment and offer heavily reduced costs for primary schools.

If you are a school teacher or SENCO and would like to receive more information, or if you have any questions regarding these mental health services please do not hestitate to contact me.
